BLCGS Match v Wiltshire – 10th September at Donnington Grove
Our final match of the season was against Wiltshire and fortunately, the worst of the day’s weather held off until everyone had finished which was a relief. Despite a lot of rain over the preceding few days the course was in very good condition.
We had no reserves for this match and therefore I am very grateful to everyone who played, regardless of any niggling injuries &/or a general feeling of being ‘golfed out’ to ensure that we fielded a full team.
All the matches were very close with 3 of them drawn and another team losing on the 18th hole. Sadly, however, the final result was a 3.5 to 4.5 loss although it could so easily have gone the other way!
