BLCGS Match v Sussex Captains & Secretaries (SLCSGA) Thursday 11th July @ Sonning
After a few days of torrential rain everyone was delighted to play in the sunshine. The red kites were flying overhead and deer were seen in several places all in all making for a very enjoyable time.
Despite the recent downpours the course was playing very well although many people found the approaches to and the greens themselves much slower than they were expecting.
Once again all the staff at Sonning looked after us extremely well and ensured that everything ran like clockwork.
All matches were played in good spirits and there were some very good wins but unfortunately a couple of tight games that went Sussex’s way meant that the overall result was a 3.5 to 4.5 loss.
