With the wet winter firmly behind and the promise of a warm spring, Berkshire Lady Captains had something more to smile about with their first match of the season against Surrey Lady Captains.
Held at Castle Royle, it was a difficult start to the day as 2 players en-route from Surrey phoned through to say that they were waiting for the AA to come a repair a puncture and we late arriving!
However, eight pairs finally teed off and battled it out in better-ball match play and eventually, BLCGS came home the winners – 6 and 2
