Amid short bursts of rain over the immaculate Castle Royle golf course, BLCGS successfully managed to come out on top.
The weather forecast for the afternoon was not good and, as lightning and thunder were forecast over the golf course during play, the captains gave the instruction, that if conditions were not safe, to declare that match as it stood and to walk in. However, we were lucky and by the time the last group were playing down the 7th hole, the showers stopped.
Hampshire Lady Captains put up a good fight win several close matches but, in the end, the result was a win to BLCGS – 5 and 3.
