16th July 2024 at Calcot Park GC
Berkshire Seniors Team maintained their position at the top of the league in their 3rd match of the season against Buckinghamshire on Tuesday 16th July. The closely contested match at Calcot Park saw winning debut performances by Pamela King and Debbie Ranwell and a critical half achieved on 18 with a birdie from Linda Hunt to give the team a 3.5 games each draw. A huge thank you to everyone at Calcot Park for hosting this home fixture so brilliantly – everyone thoroughly enjoyed the course and we were made to feel extremely welcome.
Berkshire have now played 3 matches, have 5 points and won 12.5 games so are leading the league table. Buckinghamshire have played all 4 matches, have 2 points and won 12 games whereas Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire all have games in hand and have 2 points each. As we beat Hants and Oxon in our first two games, we are well placed to win the league trophy but our final match of the season will be critical to achieving this success. We will take on Hertfordshire at Sand Martins GC on Monday 19th August, who have so far only played 1 match which they drew with Bucks.
