Report for the 2nd and 3rd Division Spring Meeting
Hennerton Golf Club on Thursday 2 May 2024
Many many thanks to Hennerton Golf Club for hosting the 2nd and 3rd Division Spring meetings. We had 39 players from 13 different clubs with 24 entered in the 2nd Division and 15 in the 3rd Division. It was lovely to see so many clubs represented, and we enjoyed meeting you all.
Despite the overnight thunder the weather was mild and stayed dry. Although not sunny the course was in lovely condition and looked beautiful. Both sections enjoyed the challenge of the course with scores ranging from the low teens through to the mid thirties.
Thanks are due to the Lady Captain Lucille Richards and previous Lady Captain Jill Thompson for arranging a Starter and Ball Spotters and to all of the Green Keepers and staff for their help and support in preparing for and executing the event. Paul, Glenn and the team were a joy to spend the day with.
All came in to a well deserved lunch of Chicken Supreme, Fish Pie or an Aubergine & Courgette vegetarian option which looked lovely and I’m sure they were enjoyed by all the competitors.
Our County Captain Jules Tarr was on hand to present the prizes as follows:
