The Vets Autumn Meeting was held at Sonning Golf Club on Monday 15 September 2025.
49 ladies played an 18-hole individual stableford competition. The day was very windy with occasional torrential downpours of horizontal rain which made scoring difficult. However, a few people managed to post some great scores considering the terrible weather and the very fast greens!
The winner of the Division 1 Handicap Salver was Gwen King from Maidenhead with an amazing 38pts.
The winner of the Division 2 Handicap Cup was Ros Gurney from Sonning with an excellent 36pts.
The Division 1 Scratch winner was Gillian Trowbridge from Royal Ascot with 17pts and the Division 2 Scratch winner was Judy Jones from Castle Royle with 9 pts.
The winner of the Grandmothers’ Cup was Pat Holzherr from Reading with 31 pts.
The Best Front 9 was won by Sarah Webster from Royal Ascot with a brilliant 22pts and the Best Back 9 was won by Lesley Roberts from Sonning with 17pts.
All prize winners were presented with a bottle of fizz and a voucher. Congratulations to all the winners!
As it is the 60th Anniversary of the forming of the BCLVGA this year, two large celebratory cakes were enjoyed by all the players following their delicious main course.
