Match Report for BCLVGA v Reading & District Men on 4th September 2025
The showery weather cleared almost in time for our match against Reading & District Men at Sonning. The golf course was in good condition with the recent rain although this had impacted the speed of the greens. The sight of the green fairways were a delight for some of the players whose own golf courses were still suffering from the dry weather!
The bacon roll before the match and the chicken in a mushroom sauce followed by fruit crumble and ice cream were delicious.
Unfortunately the Men were the better side on the day winning by a score of 5 1/2 to 2 1/2.
