Played at Maidenhead Golf Club 21st July
The weather forecast in the previous few days predicted thundery showers and rain for most of the morning. The day turned out to be warm and sunny, a great day for golf.
Maidenhead Golf Club looked magnificent. For many it was the last opportunity to play this course before it closes on 31st December 2025. The fairways and greens were is excellent condition and this led to a significant number of close scores, reflected in the results. The condition of the course is a testament to the hard work of the greenkeepers, led by Martin Dearlove.
The management and staff made everyone welcome and our thanks go to Steve Coles, General Manager and his whole team for all their all their efforts to make the day a success. Their flexibility around catering was a welcome bonus and the Afternoon Tea was excellent, praised by many of our participants.
