15th May at Castle Royle Golf Club
The Berkshire second team played their second match in the Midlands South League against Oxfordshire in a home fixture at Castle Royle. Expecting the warm weather to continue the team ended up searching their cars and golf bags for more layers!
The morning foursomes soon warmed us up though and we were pleased to achieve two good wins and a half in the three matches.
After a good lunch, the team set out for the series of singles matches. We achieved three excellent wins with two of the losses ending on the 18th. We had done enough to win the match 5.5. to 3.5.
Congratulations to Miwa Beer who won both her matches on her debut and Debbie Ranwell who achieved her second team colours in this match.
Our next outing is the Midlands South finals in August.
