Report for the 1st Division Spring meeting held at
Sand Martins Golf Club on Thursday 24th April 2025
Many thanks to Sand Martins Golf Club for hosting the 1st Division Spring meeting, we were made so welcome from our hosts. We had 41 players from 14 different clubs taking part.
The weather was good for golf, dry and sunny intervals and reports back commented the course was in good condition.
All came into a well-deserved lunch of Sandwiches and Chips, which seemed to go down well with everyone.
Our County President, Tracy Crew with the assistance of the County Captain Jules Tarr was on hand to present the prizes as follows.
Competition Winners
The Gold Medal was awarded for the Lowest Scratch Score and the winner for 2025 was
Jane Sly from Mill Ride GC with a score of 76.
Scratch Runner up was the County President, Tracy Crew from Reading GC with a score of 80
3rd Scratch prize winner was Linda Hunt from Newbury and Crookham GC with a score of 81
4th Place Scratch Prize was won by Gayle Kennedy from Royal Ascot GC with a score of 83
The first place Nett Prize was won by Sue Elsbury from Sand Martins GC with a score of 69
2nd place Nett Prize was won by Chrissie Reynolds from Castle Royle GC, on countback with a score of 70
3rd place Nett Prize was won by Nikki Ochtman from Castle Royle GC on countback with a score of 70
Congratulations to all the winners.
It was lovely to see so many ladies taking part and supporting the first County competition of 2025 and enjoying themselves, there was a buzz in the room after!.
